  The drum is your instrument

The Doumbek:   These drums are most commonly played in Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Lebanon.  The name "doumbek originated from the drum's two basic sounds, the deep low pitch "doom" and the high pitch "tek".

Our drums are goblet shaped and resonate beautifully between the high and low tones.  The qualities of the African Djembe and the Middle Eastern Doumbek can be achieved quite comfortably.  Each drum has its own personality.  Coupled with the personality and experiences of the player, one can create interesting and exciting rhythms.  The goatskin heads are stretched using a low stretch poly cord.  The drums are made with loop handles either with clay or cord so that a strap can be attached.  The designs are applied in relief. Currently, we make four sizes, #1 is the smallest and the #4, the largest.

#1 Small

9"x12"

#2 Medium

9"x13-1/2"

#3 Large

10-1/2"x13"

#4 Deluxe

11"x14"
